Registered healthcare professionals with PhD/equivalent. Open to specialty trainees, consultants and GPs; no limit based on years since PhD.

Must be clinically active or intend to remain so and establish an independent research niche/team. Up to 20% clinical duties within full-time fellowship. Medically qualified applicants cannot use part-time fellowship simply to continue higher specialist training. UK host.

Up to 5 years. Salary + staff + consumables + equipment + travel/training etc. No fixed funding cap; MRC funds 80% FEC.
